Raise-Suite took part in the EESTEC Dev/Ops – Cloud Engineering event held on March 17, 2026, organized by EESTEC LC Thessaloniki. During the evnt, ISSEL labgroup and Cyclopt delivered a workshop titled “Defense in Depth: Securing Code Execution on Kubernetes”, focused on how cloud infrastructures can securely support code execution while safeguarding both systems and sensitive data.

RAISE Suite Presentation
During the workshop, RAISE Suite was presented as a real-world example of a collaborative cloud infrastructure supporting arbitrary code execution. The session introduced participants to the project’s threat model and the challenges involved in protecting both infrastructure and sensitive data in such environments.
The workshop also showcased RAISE Suite’s defense-in-depth approach to securing complex cloud settings. Through a simple UI-based tool simulating a similar infrastructure, students had the opportunity to engage directly with key security concepts and gain practical insight into the risks and safeguards behind platforms such as RAISE-Suite.

This participation highlighted the importance of secure cloud environments and demonstrated how RAISE Suite contributes to advancing trustworthy and robust data management infrastructures.
