RAISE Suite at EOSC Symposium 2026: Advancing Open Science and FAIR Data Collaboration

The RAISE Suite project participated in the EOSC Symposium 2026, held from 14 to 16 October in Florence, Italy. The event brought together more than 500 participants from 35 countries from the European Open Science community to exchange knowledge, explore collaboration opportunities and discuss the future of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

With a dedicated exhibition booth and seven representatives from the consortium, RAISE Suite showcased its vision for advancing Open Science and FAIR research data management, while connecting with researchers, research infrastructures and other EU-funded initiatives.

RAISE Suite at EOSC Symposium 2026: Connecting with the Open Science Community

The EOSC Symposium 2026 provided an important opportunity for RAISE Suite to engage with the European research community and contribute to discussions on the development of the EOSC Federation.

Throughout the three-day event, the RAISE Suite exhibition booth served as a meeting point for exchanging ideas, discussing research data management challenges and exploring potential collaborations with other EOSC-related projects.Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the project’s approach to implementing FAIR-by-design principles across the research data lifecycle, from data collection and management to processing, sharing and reuse.

These interactions supported RAISE Suite’s efforts to strengthen connections within the EOSC ecosystem and identify opportunities for future synergies.

Seven representatives participated in the Symposium on behalf of RAISE Suite, bringing together expertise in project coordination, research, Open Science, exploitation and communication:

The consortium’s presence highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in addressing challenges related to research data sharing, interoperability and reuse.

Strengthening EOSC Collaboration and FAIR Data Practices

Participation in the EOSC Symposium 2026 aligned with RAISE Suite’s commitment to fostering collaboration across the European Open Science ecosystem. Building on the results of the EOSC-RAISE project, RAISE Suite aims to simplify research data management through automation, machine-actionable Data Management Plans (ma-DMPs) and FAIR-by-design approaches.

By promoting FAIR principles throughout the research data lifecycle, the project seeks to reduce barriers to data sharing and support more accessible, interoperable and reusable research data.

The discussions and networking opportunities at the Symposium provided a valuable foundation for strengthening relationships with other initiatives and exploring future cooperation within the evolving EOSC Federation.

A sincere thank you to the EOSC Symposium organisers and everyone who visited the RAISE Suite booth and shared their insights!
