RAISE Suite participated in BEYOND Expo 2026, one of the most influential technology and innovation platforms in Southeast Europe, functioning as a regional convergence point for technology, investment, digital policy and innovation ecosystems, held from 17 to 19 June 2026 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens, Greece.
Through strategic panel discussions and a strong exhibition presence, the project highlighted its ongoing commitment to advancing Open Science and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data principles across the European innovation landscape.
Fostering Smart Cities with the Region of Central Macedonia
A cornerstone of our participation was the continued, fruitful collaboration with the Region of Central Macedonia. On June 17, RAISE Suite was prominently featured in a dedicated panel discussion focused on urban digital transformation:
“Open Data for Cities: Challenges, Opportunities, and Good Practices from the Region of Central Macedonia”
Representing the RAISE Suite project, our project coordinator Asst. Prof. Evdokimos Konstantinidis (AUTH Medical Physics & Digital Innovation Lab) and Prof. Panagiotis Sarigiannidis (University of Western Macedonia) shared their expertise on the critical role of open data in modernizing urban infrastructure.
The discussion underscored how secure data sharing frameworks can support:
- Smarter City Ecosystems: Utilizing regional data to optimize urban planning and resource management.
- Digital Governance: Empowering local authorities with reliable, data-driven decision-making tools.
- Transparent Public Services: Building citizen trust through accessible and secure public data repositories.

A Dual Presence on the Exhibition Floor
In addition to the high-level panel discussions, RAISE Suite maintained a robust footprint throughout BEYOND Expo 2026.
Beyond our inclusion in the Region of Central Macedonia’s showcase, the project was also highlighted by our partner ViLabs. Operating from their dedicated booth, the ViLabs team presented RAISE Suite as a flagship example of their EU-funded project portfolio. This dual presence enabled us to maximize our dissemination efforts, engaging directly with a diverse audience of policymakers, industry leaders, startups, and fellow researchers interested in the practical applications of our ecosystem.
Advancing the RAISE Mission
RAISE Suite builds upon the foundational success of the original RAISE project. Our presence at BEYOND Expo 2026 reinforced our core mission: transitioning theoretical data governance into practical, secure workflows.
