We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for the European research community: the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RAISE Suite, EOSC Data Commons, LUMEN, and DataGEMS.
This strategic partnership unites four forward-thinking European projects to enhance cross-domain collaboration, improve data discovery, and drive the adoption of Open Science principles across the continent.
A Unified Vision for the EOSC Ecosystem
The primary objective of this MoU is to establish a structured, collaborative framework among our projects. By aligning our efforts, we aim to build a more robust, interoperable, and trusted European Research Commons. Instead of operating in silos, this agreement ensures that our teams will foster a unified approach to addressing the challenges faced by modern researchers.
To turn our shared vision into reality, the partnership focuses on four core areas of joint activity:
- Sustainability & EOSC Integration: Sharing best practices to ensure our respective services and results offer lasting value and integrate smoothly into the broader EOSC ecosystem.
- Communication & Events: Coordinating outreach initiatives and collaborating on joint events to maximize visibility and impact across our shared audiences.
- Technical Collaboration: Exploring opportunities to align our system architectures, standards, and interfaces to enable scalable and sustainable integration.
- User Support & Use Cases: Sharing high-level user insights and coordinating support efforts to ensure our solutions consistently meet the diverse needs of the European research community.
The Role of RAISE Suite in the Collaboration
Within this joint initiative, RAISE Suite will actively work alongside our partners to ensure our tools seamlessly integrate to address the practical barriers researchers face.
As part of this shared effort, RAISE Suite is committed to:
- Fostering Technical Integration: Collaborating with the other projects to map integration opportunities across the data lifecycle, ensuring our systems work together effectively.
- Synergizing User Research: Aligning our user support strategies with EOSC Data Commons, LUMEN, and DataGEMS to build a comprehensive understanding of cross-domain research needs.
- Driving Joint Outreach: Co-organizing events and cross-promoting key milestones to amplify our collective impact.
- Advocating for Open Science: Working closely with our partners to promote the long-term adoption of our shared solutions, ensuring that barrier-free data sharing remains a cornerstone of the EOSC Federation.
Stay tuned to our official channels for upcoming joint events, technical deep-dives, and updates on our shared progress!
