At RAISE Suite, our vision is to enable researchers across the globe to seamlessly and effortlessly adopt Open-Science-based best practices throughout the entire data lifecycle.
From data collection to processing and sharing, we envision a world where FAIR-by-design services and workflows empower researchers to deliver universally reproducible results.
This vision is built on the belief that by making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable, we can accelerate scientific progress, foster collaboration, and ensure that research outputs benefit all of humanity.
Our Mission
The mission of RAISE Suite is to develop a one-stop-shop infrastructure that simplifies and automates the data management process through unified Machine Actionable Data Management Plans (ma-DMP).
By integrating these plans across the entire data lifecycle, from collection to automatic processing, we are creating a platform that not only ensures compliance with Open Science principles but also advocates for their adoption in research communities, academia, and industry worldwide.
To achieve this, we will leverage the infrastructure of the EOSC RAISE Horizon Europe project, a distributed crowdsourced data processing system, which moves us from downloadable open data to data directly accessible for processing. Through RAISE Suite, we aim to simplify data workflows, increase accessibility, and provide a scalable solution to data challenges faced across multiple scientific domains.
How everything started
The predecessor of RAISE Suite was RAISE Science. But what is RAISE Science? Just like home-sharing platforms that connect hosts and guests in a trusted environment, RAISE transforms data sharing into a secure, controlled process. Data providers act as hosts, keeping their valuable datasets securely within their own infrastructure, never losing control or ownership. Meanwhile, data processors do not download the data—instead, they send their algorithms, acting as guests, to the data for processing. Data providers keep their datasets on-premises, allowing only approved algorithms to process them remotely. Blockchain technology records every interaction, providing a persistent identifier similar to DOI, guaranteeing traceability, attribution, and compliance with sensitive data regulations like GDPR. Whether you’re seeking reliable data or want to share your work responsibly, RAISE guarantees recognition, security, and accountability for all involved parties! RAISE Science opened the way for transparent and trustworthy data sharing and now it passes the torch to RAISE Suite.
